Attendee Terms and Conditions

1. Attendance of the Exposition and Congress

1.1. Entry to the Event

Only pre-registered Attendees or those who register at the Event itself will be allowed entry to the Event. Attendees must check-in with the registration desk at the Event’s entrance prior to being allowed entry. Attendees must bring some form of photographic identification (e.g. passport, driver’s license, national identity card) and will be required to present this identification to the Organizer upon check-in. At check-in, Attendees will be given a personalized Attendee Badge which shall constitute proof of the Attendee’s registration throughout the Event. The Attendee Badge must be kept on the Attendee’s person and visible at all times within the Event.

1.2. Ejection from the Event

The Organizer reserves the right to escort anyone from the Event premises who does not comply policies described in these Terms and Conditions, as well as to prevent their reentry. Should this occur, the Organizer will not refund any part of the Registration Fee and the Attendee will remain liable for the full amount.

2. Cancellation Policy and Transfer of Registration

2.1. Registration for the Event may not be rescinded once the Registration Fee has been processed and received by the Organizer. Once this occurs, registration becomes final, and no part of the registration fee will be refunded thereafter.
2.2. Event registrations, however, are fully transferable. Attendees may only effectuate a transfer of their registration by using the web-tool provided on the Event website (legaltechexpo.de), which allows the registration to be amended. By accepting a transferred or provided registration or by entering the Event, transferees, substitutes or proxies designated by the Attendee agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Force Majeure

3.1. The Event may be cancelled and not take place for any of the following causes including but not limited to: damage caused by fire, act of God, act of Terrorism, war, insurrections, strikes, the authority of the law, or for any cause beyond the Organizer’s control.
3.2. The Organizer will, in the event the Conference does not take place for any of the above reasons, apply the Registration Fee for this Event to the registration fee of the next scheduled LEGAL ®EVOLUTION event.

4. Data Protection and Privacy Policy

4.1. Photography, Filming & Recording

Over the course of the Event, certain parts of the Event may be photographed, recorded, and/or videotaped. When registering for the Event you are also giving permission to be photographed, recorded and/or videotaped. These photographs, recordings and/or video tapes will be used for public display and/or sale after the Event.

4.2. Personal Information

4.2.1. By registering for LEGAL ®EVOLUTION we obtain the relevant data necessary to process the Attendee’s order and provide the agreed services. Required data fields are indicated with an asterisk.
4.2.2. Some personal data, such as the Attendee’s name, email address and company will be shared with our third party sponsors and exhibitors for marketing purposes. Sponsors and exhibitors may use this information to contact Attendees by post or email with information or offers regarding their goods and services.
4.2.3. Attendee Badges contain microchips which electronically store the NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS and COMPANY of the Attendee to which it is assigned. Attendee badges may be scanned by the Organizer as well as by sponsors/exhibitors on the exhibition floor.
4.2.4. By registering with or attending LEGAL ®EVOLUTION the Attendee is expressing consent for the Attendee’s personal data to be shared with third party sponsors and exhibitors. The Attendee further consents to the use of that personal information for being contacted by the Organizer and Event sponsors/exhibitors in the future.

4.3. Data Security

Data management and security is provided by Lanyon Solutions, Inc. (Lanyon). Lanyon follows strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you provide during registration. 5. Limitation of Liability

5.1. The Organizer is not responsible and shall not be liable for any damage caused by anyone other than the Organizer itself, its legal representatives, or its agents. These include but are not limited to claims arising from an injury or other damage to any person or property. An “agent”, within the meaning of this Section 5, shall not be interpreted to include Kap Europa or any sponsor or exhibitor of the Event.
5.2. Attendees who cause damage to others shall agree to indemnify the Organizer and/or hold it harmless against all claims brought against the Organizer for such damages.
5.3. To the extent that the Organizer, its legal representatives, or its agents has caused damage, any liability on the part of the Organizer shall be limited to those damages which are the result of intentional or grossly negligent conduct.
5.4. Liability for damages arising out of an injury to life, body or health as defined by the statutory provisions of the German Civil Code shall remain unaffected.
